AFFECTION: OOC, fine with everything. Merlin's openly verbally affectionate, even if he's been advised it's not ~allowed to acknowledge friendship with someone (class divisions play into his canon a lot, bc medieval Europe). Physically, he'll happily return and even initiate hugs with friendly CR, and will likely tolerate it from neutral CR. If yours is a bit more stand-offish, Merlin can be useful for reaching across that friendship-barrier first.
SHIPPING: This writer isn't interested in ship!
VIOLENCE: OOC, most things are on the table, and I'm not terribly squeamish. The only real limit is that I like things to further storylines/be ultimately fun to play, so while minor injuries are generally fine, for anything debilitating, I'd like to discuss the 'so what' aspect of it at least a bit. (With Merlin, there's also slightly more leeway with injuries, as he can recover quicker with his magic — but considering self-healing warps in-game, be careful).
TELEPATHY: OOC fine. IC, Merlin has met people who can telepathically speak to him before, and will be surprised but unbothered. He'll be a lot more surprised at say, X-Men-style or Force-style telepathy that involves actually going into someone else's mind, however, and his response will then be contingent on CR.
PHYSICAL INFORMATION: Merlin's tall and thin but otherwise has no remarkable physical features. When he uses his magic, his eyes turn gold for the duration of the initial casting.
MENTAL INFORMATION: Nothing to note here; tho as stated, he's familiar with speaking telepathically, even across distances.

CONTENT WARNINGS FOR MERLIN: Merlin's canon is pretty standard BBC rated-TV-14 fare, but to be clear his narration/dialogue may eventually contain references to: death; prejudice; large-scale hunting down and killing of a specific group of people; bullying; servitude; and a lot of grappling with the idea of destiny/the greater good excusing (or not excusing) atrocities.
NOTES: for people not in-game with Merlin: i will happily play in a modern au/urban fantasy sort of setting if it fits the other characters better. i'm very open to cross-canon and ocs.
